Z is a New Zealand leader in fuels and convenience retailing. We don’t just mean we’re the biggest in many sectors – we mean we’re out to shake up the entire industry by bringing a new kind of energy to the task. It’s what we call ‘the energy to do what matters’.

We’re often on the lookout for like-minded individuals or couples to be our public face, otherwise known as Z retailers. It can’t be just anybody because you, more than anyone else, are the person who represents Z to our customers.

As a self-employed Z retailer you would have:

• up to 15 Z sites to operate as your own business
• a large team of people to employ and inspire
• awesome people management skills
• a passion for excellent customer service
• the financial and business skills to manage your own multi-million dollar business in a retail environment that’s exciting, challenging, sometimes infuriating, but never ever dull

• tonnes of commitment and perseverance
• loads of confidence in your own abilities, but also the wise head needed to stick to the high operating standards set by Z Energy
• the opportunity to earn good money that reflects the skills and effort you put in.

In return, we’ll support you like you wouldn’t believe. We’ll provide the kind of business reviews that few business owners ever get. We’ll train you to take the skills you already have to a new level and to become a star in areas where you’re currently not so hot (and don’t worry – we don’t expect anyone to be great at everything). We’ll also provide training to help you inspire your staff so they are all pulling in the right direction – called helping you grow your business.
