The Z Energy Board

Marko Bogoievski – Chairman

Marko is Chief Executive Officer of Morrison & Co and Infratil and former Chief Financial Officer of Telecom New Zealand. He is a director of Infratil, TrustPower and an alternate director of Auckland International Airport. Marko holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.

Abby Foote - Independent Director

Abby Foote is an experienced director of both publicly listed and Crown companies. Based in Christchurch, she has worked in a range of corporate, treasury and legal roles over the last 20 years. Abby holds a number of directorships, including as a Director of Transpower New Zealand and of New Zealand Local Government Funding Agency Limited, where she chairs the Audit and Risk Committee.

Alan Dunn – Director

Alan knows all about retail and business leadership. He was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of McDonald’s New Zealand from 1993 to 2004 before heading to Chicago to become Vice President Operations, then Regional Vice President in the Nordic region and Managing Director of McDonald’s Sweden. These days he manages his own business, Trumpeter Consulting, specialising in business leadership and development. He is also a director of Burger Fuel Worldwide and a number of private companies.

Justine Munro - Independent Director

Justine Munro is a New Zealand Rhodes Scholar who is globally recognised in the field of corporate social responsibility and business, community and government partnerships. Justine is returning to Auckland in June from Sydney where she has been Executive Director, Education at Social Ventures Australia. Justine was the founding CEO of the New Zealand Centre for Social Innovation and helped to establish New Zealand Global Women in 2008. She has worked also in Australia and New Zealand as a lawyer and strategic management consultant.

Lib Petagna – Director

Lib is an executive director and the Chief Investment Officer of Morrison & Co and has led the purchase and sale of airport, energy and transport assets in New Zealand, Australia and Europe. Lib is Chairman of NZ Bus, New Zealand’s largest public transport operator and a director of Infratil Property. 

Paul Fowler – Director

Paul has primary industries in his blood. He was the founding Chief Executive Officer of Nyrstar NV, the world’s largest producer of zinc metal. Before that he was Chief Operating Officer of Zinifex Limited, an Australian zinc and lead mining and smelting company. He has also been Chief Executive Officer of Fletcher Challenge Forests and Carter Holt Harvey Forests and spent 15 years with BP in crude oil trading, strategic planning, refining and retail marketing. Paul has served on the boards of the New Zealand Refining Company and Evergreen Forests.

Peter Griffiths – Independent Director

Peter is an oil industry veteran. He has been General Manager BP Papua New Guinea and Commercial Manager for BP New Zealand’s fuel and LPG interests. For the last 10 years he was Managing Director of BP New Zealand Limited and also Chairman of BP South West Pacific Limited. Peter has served on the boards of the New Zealand Refining Company, Liquigas and Bitumix. He is a director of Wanganui Gas, New Zealand Oil and Gas and New Zealand Diving and Salvage.
