New General Manager Commercial

19/07/2011 - By Jonathan Hill | Investor News - Continuous disclosure

After 17 years in Shell’s downstream New Zealand business (including for the transition to Greenstone and then Z Energy), David Robinson is moving on from the position as General Manager of Z Energy’s Commercial Fuels business.

He will be replaced by Z’s current Corporate General Manager, Lindis Jones. Lindis came to Z from the position as Head of Property at the ANZ Bank and had previously worked with Shell both in New Zealand and abroad.

David has had an international career with Shell and has been General Manager of the Commercial fuels business in New Zealand for the last five years. He was heavily involved in the sale of the Shell business in April 2010 and has been a member of the Executive team which led the transition to a stand-alone Kiwi business.

David said after a long and rewarding career it was time for a change of focus.

“It’s been a pleasure to build a strong commercial fuels team that is genuinely customer focused and which has delivered growth in market share in a very competitive market,” he said.

Z CEO Mike Bennetts said David had made a strong contribution to the company and the company was sorry to be losing such a capable and experienced executive.

“We actively plan for succession within Z and Lindis brings a deep understanding of the business to the Commercial team combined with a strong strategic focus.”
