New appointment to Z Energy executive

09/02/2012 | Media News - General

Z Energy has appointed the company’s General Counsel and Company Secretary, Meredith Ussher, to the company’s executive team.

Meredith has been with Z Energy since May 2010 when the company was acquired from Shell New Zealand. Previously with Todd Energy and the New Zealand Racing Board/TAB, Meredith is an experienced corporate lawyer in both the energy and franchise network industries. Prior to that, she was a Senior Associate with Minter Ellison Rudd Watts.

Z Chief Executive Mike Bennetts said he welcomed the diversity that Meredith brought to the Executive team, both in gender as well as her experience outside of the downstream oil industry given the commercial background she developed prior to joining Z.

Mike said Meredith’s appointment reflected the company’s commitment to strong corporate governance and Meredith’s high performance as a senior executive.
