What you told us

First things first

Before we touched anything, we shut up and listened.

From one end of New Zealand to the other, we sat people down, we gave them a coffee and a sandwich, spoke to them about our plans and our hopes, and some of our hunches – and then we listened.

The result is the single biggest piece of research we’ve ever commissioned in this country on what people want and don’t want, like and don’t like about service stations.

We learnt that for the majority, New Zealanders have been starved for information and knowledge about our industry for a long time now. As a result, fuel station preference has become a low-interest, price driven commodity.

And it’s about time someone did something exciting and took on the big guys – there’s an appetite for change. We confirmed what we already knew in that Kiwis love a Kiwi success story – and like us, they want to be part of it.

But it's more than this. Kiwis told us what they want from a service station - about the service, about the food and what they want from their local.
