ZX is the premium fuel for people who want to put top quality fuel in their car to deliver superior overall performance.   We’re proud of all our fuels, but this one’s our favourite. You’ll find it at our new ZX stations.

What is the X factor? We have worked with one of the world’s leading fuel additive manufacturers to find the right additive for our fuel.  The new additive we use in ZX not only has the clean-up and keep clean properties already in our premium fuel, it has a friction modifier that helps improve engine efficiency by reducing friction between the cylinder liner and piston rings.

You might have heard people talking about fuels that clean engines before and wondered what that really means?  To put it simply, a fuel that helps clean your engine means you have a fuel that helps improve your car’s responsiveness; helps produce maximum power and overall performance and that’s what ZX does.  In short, it’s a fuel to get excited about!

Here’s how it works:

Good quality fuels usually have a small amount of detergent that inhibits deposit build up on your inlet valves, and ZX is no exception. But here’s the cool part – it has high tech components that help remove deposit build-up on the inlet valves and by cleaning these, fuel can burn more efficiently enabling the engine to run more smoothly. So not only does it help clean your inlet valves, it continues to keep them clean.

At our Shell branded stations, you will still find Shell V-Power. You expect your car to perform well, but if your engine isn't clean; your car will be unlikely to perform at its best. Shell V-Power helps to solve the problem as it actively cleans for better performance.

Shell V-Power contains powerful cleaning technology, developed to help enhance everyday driving performance and responsiveness. These cleaning components are designed to help prevent the build-up of power-robbing inlet valve deposits and to help remove those which may have been left behind by other fuels.

Shell V-Power is the fuel developed with Ferrari. Shell’s technical work with Ferrari highlights Shell V-Power as a high performance, high quality product. What Shell learns under the extreme racing conditions on the track with Ferrari, is then transferred into product development for Shell V- Power for our customers and their cars on the road.
