St John is an awesome charitable organisation that provides ambulance services in our communities. Lots of our Z stations have supported local branches of St John through Good in the Hood, and this year we’re also working together to make our communities safer with a nationwide roll out of defibrillators.
St John started doing good in our hoods back in 1885 — now not only do they provide ambulance services, they also offer first aid training, medical alarms and a range of youth and community programmes.
This year, St John became one of Z’s key partners. It’s through this partnership that New Zealanders will soon have access to defibrillators at their local Z service stations.
We’re rolling out defibrillators to all of our Z stations in November and they’ll be available for anyone in the community to use. That's over 200 more defibs available in NZ.
Defibrillators can help to save the life of someone in cardiac arrest. We reckon having them available at Z helps New Zealand communities.
