Z Energy today announced that its shareholders have appointed Abby Foote and Justine Munro to its Board as independent directors.
Chairman of the Z Board, Marko Bogoievski, said he was delighted with the two appointments which he said would add considerable depth and strengthen the Board.
“We’ve been actively seeking additional directors for some time and, as the company considers a potential market listing, I believe these two new directors will serve the company and its shareholders extremely well.”
Marko Bogoievski said he was particularly pleased to be able to secure two new directors of such high quality.
Abby Foote is an experienced director of both publicly listed and Crown companies. Based in Christchurch, she has worked in a range of corporate, treasury and legal roles over the last 20 years. Abby holds a number of directorships, including as a Director of Transpower New Zealand and of New Zealand Local Government Funding Agency Limited, where she chairs the Audit and Risk Committee.
Justine Munro is a New Zealand Rhodes Scholar who is globally recognised in the field of corporate social responsibility and business, community and government partnerships. Justine is returning to Auckland in June from Sydney where she has been Executive Director, Education at Social Ventures Australia. Justine was the founding CEO of the New Zealand Centre for Social Innovation and helped to establish New Zealand Global Women in 2008. She has worked also in Australia and New Zealand as a lawyer and strategic management consultant.
Marko Bogoievski said both Abby and Justine would join the Z Board effective from 15 May and there would be no further changes to the Z Board at this time.
