Z Energy is coming to Sanson with a state-of-the-art service station replacing the small and run down Shell site in the town.
But, first we have to start from scratch, which means closing the site and demolishing all of the buildings currently on it.
Z’s General Manager of Retail, Mark Forsyth, said the knock down and replacement of the current site with a brand new Z station represented the company’s commitment to the town.
The Shell site will close on 28 May, with the new Z site reopening at the end of August.
“We’re the last service station in town so we appreciate the need to shut for a period may be an inconvenience to some motorists. We appreciate the patience of locals and travellers and we promise that our new offer will be well worth the wait,” he said.
“Our new site will deliver a new look reflecting our local ownership, a fantastic new Z attitude and upgraded offer featuring tasty Kiwi-made pies, espresso coffee and hotel style bathrooms.
“In addition, Z Sanson will feature Z’s forecourt concierge – guaranteed forecourt service for people who want it between 10am - 5pm every day of the week, as well as a new truckstop.”
Mark Forsyth said the rebuild of Sanson and the introduction of the full Z offer would be a $3 million plus investment and represented Z’s commitment to some of the smaller regions of New Zealand alongside major city sites.
