It very rarely happens that the words sustainability and fossil fuels are used in the same sentence with any positive intent. That may be so, but at Z we reckon a fossil fuels company like ourselves can make a significant, and perhaps unique, contribution to sustainability.
So how can a fuel company lead the development of a new, sustainable paradigm for transport energy? What’s happening in the global energy markets and what challenges does a more sustainable energy future face? What’s the future for biofuels in New Zealand?
Mike Bennetts, CEO of Z Energy, spoke at the National Energy Research Institute conference in Wellington last week and set out how Z seeks to move from being part of the sustainability problem to being at the heart of the solution.
