National network for Z’s newest product

Z will expand its national network of sites with its Z DEC diesel exhaust fluid on pump over the next few months, making life easier for our customers who drive SCR vehicles.

Z DEC (Z Diesel Emission Cleaner) is a diesel exhaust fluid that, in conjunction with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, is designed to help reduce vehicle emissions, namely nitrogen oxides. Many major engine manufacturers and their customers have chosen SCR technology for their vehicles to meet emission reduction targets. Now Z is making it more convenient for SCR vehicle customers to fill up through our national network of selected truck stops.

Z DEC is already available at Z Sanson on State Highway 1, and Z Sylvia Park truck stop, Mt Wellington, Auckland. In early May, Z’s Turangi and Whangarei truck stops will join the Z DEC network, followed by another 10 sites by July.

We intend to have Z DEC available at 14 sites by July, providing national coverage for customers who are choosing SCR technology to reduce their vehicle emissions.

It’s about making life on the road easier, and offering a product that more of our customers are looking for as they turn to cleaner emission vehicles.

The Z DEC network will cover the Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Central North Island, Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago regions.

Z DEC is used only in SCR vehicles. It cannot be used for EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) vehicles, or any other non-SCR vehicles.

It is not mixed with diesel, but stored in a separate tank in the vehicle. Z DEC (like other diesel emissions cleaners) must not be put directly into a diesel tank as this will damage the vehicle.

Drivers can find their nearest Z truck stop with Z DEC at Z’s site locator at z.co.nz/find-us. More information on Z DEC can be found at z.co.nz/ZDEC
