Z supercharges 2015 for local groups
As a Kiwi company, our customers expect us to give back to local neighbourhoods, to support the things that really matter, and to make a positive contribution right across New Zealand.
So each year, all Z stations give away $5,000 to local neighbourhood groups to help them support those people in their communities that really need it. Collectively, that’s more than $1 million worth of Good in the Hood across the country.
While the programme has been making an impressive difference, we’re always looking to do more.
That’s why this year Z put up an extra $250,000 to help supercharge 14 deserving community groups which were selected by both Z customers and frontline staff.
The Good in the Hood Supercharger funding will deliver benefits in communities across the country, from helping the Child Cancer Foundation launch a new programme to help families keep in touch, to upgrading the Blind Foundation’s guide dog centre in Auckland.
This year, Toyota New Zealand also pitched in to help us do even more good in the hood, contributing significantly to help Sweet Louise get a nurse out on the road in Palmerston North, and the Disabled Citizens Society in Otago to purchase a van to transport the equipment they need for their work and training centre.
The Supercharger groups are just 14 of the hundreds across New Zealand who benefited from Z’s Good in the Hood programme this year.
