Terms and Conditions for Earning Airpoints Dollars™ at Z (effective from 10 March 2025)

Earning Airpoints Dollars™ at Z with Z Rewards

1. Airpoints™ members are eligible to earn Airpoints Dollars™ at Z service stations.

2. To earn Airpoints Dollars™, you need to add your Airpoints™ number to the Z App.

Then,

a. If you are making a purchase using an EFTPOS, debit or credit card, to earn Airpoints Dollars™ on Eligible Purchases you must scan your digital card in the Z App prior to paying.

b. If you are making a purchase using Z pay-in-app or pay-by-plate, you will automatically earn Airpoints Dollars™ on Eligible Purchases

3. Eligible purchases:

a. You will earn Airpoints Dollars™ on purchases of fuel (petrol and diesel), Barista Made Drinks, Z₂O car washes, Liquefied petroleum gas (“LPG”), electric vehicle (“EV”) charging and other selected products and services as advertised by Z from time to time (each an “Eligible Purchase”).  

b. Barista Made Drink means any hot or cold beverage of any size (excluding smoothies and frappes) including any alternative milk or flavour shots and made by a Z barista. 

c. You will earn Airpoints Dollars™ on fuel purchases at a rate equivalent to 1 Airpoints Dollar™ per 100 litres of fuel (petrol and diesel) purchased.

d. You will earn Airpoints Dollars™ on EV charging at a rate equivalent to 1 Airpoints Dollar™ per $60 (excluding GST) spent on EV charging.

e. You will earn Airpoints Dollars™ on purchases of Barista Made Drinks, Z₂O car washes and LPG at a rate equivalent to 1 Airpoints Dollar™ per $50 (including GST) spent on Barista Made Drinks, Z₂O car washes and LPGs.

f. You will earn Airpoints Dollars™ on other selected products, from time to time, at the rate advertised by Z.

4. The rate at which you can earn Airpoints Dollars™ may change at any time without notice.

5. We may make limited time Airpoints Dollars™ offers direct to selected Airpoints™ members at our discretion.  

6. You will earn Airpoints Dollars™ when you use a Z Gift Card to pay for Eligible Purchases (provided you scan your Z App with your linked Airpoints™ number at the time of redeeming the Z Gift Card), but not when you purchase the Z Gift Card.

7. A Sharetank administrator can earn Airpoints Dollars™ when they purchase Sharetank litres using the Z App (provided that their Airpoints™ number has been added to the Z App), however, Airpoints Dollars™ cannot be earned when Sharetank litres are redeemed at a Z station, nor on reward or bonus Sharetank litres that are directly credited to an account.  

8. You are not eligible to earn Airpoints Dollars™ on:  

a. purchases of convenience store products (other than those described as Eligible Purchases in paragraph 3 above);

b. cash withdrawn as part of an EFTPOS transaction;

c. purchases made at businesses which are located within a Z service station but that are run independently of Z; or

d. redemption of Sharetank litres.

9. Airpoints Dollars™ earned at Z will be loaded to your Airpoints™ account within one month of your purchase, subject to promotion terms and conditions.

10. IMPORTANT: Airpoints Dollars™ cannot be earned at Z using an Airpoints-linked New World Clubcard or a Fuelup voucher.  

 

Earning Airpoints Dollars™ at Z with Z Business

  1. Z Business Plus customers (and certain other Z Business Card customers) (Eligible Z Business Customers) are eligible to earn Airpoints Dollars™ on fuel purchased at a Z service station.
  2. To earn Airpoints Dollars™, Eligible Z Business Customers must register their Airpoints™ number on their Z Business account at the time of signing up for the account, or at any time after sign-up by updating rewards.z.co.nz or contacting our call centre.
  3. Eligible Z Business Customers that have registered their Airpoints™ number on their Z Business Account can earn full and partial Airpoints Dollars™ at a rate of 1 Airpoints Dollar™ for every 100 litres of fuel purchased using a Z Business Card at a Z service station.
  4. Airpoints Dollars™ are calculated on the total volume of fuel purchased using a Z Business Card at Z service stations during a calendar month.
  5. Within 10 working days of the end of a calendar month, Airpoints Dollars™ earned during the calendar month will be loaded against the Airpoints™ number registered to your Z Business account on the last day of the calendar month.
  6. We may also make limited time Bonus Airpoints Dollars™ offers direct to selected Z Business customers at our discretion.
