We’re very aware of the emissions resulting from the fuel we sell. While we have a responsibility to continue to meet New Zealanders’ energy needs now, we believe our role is to make alternative energy choices easier for our customers too. We’re also proud to contribute to work aimed at supporting local communities and the natural environment.

Z is a super proud supporter of Trees That Count, a conservation charity working with New Zealanders to plant millions of native trees across Aotearoa.

Z Energy supports Wellington Free Ambulance on their energy transition journey

As a long-term Z Energy (Z) customer, the Z team were on board to support WFA when they began electrifying part of their fleet, offering Z’s business charging suite of products and services, including access to Z’s public EV charging network and workplace charging infrastructure solutions.

Consumer NZ, Lawyers for Climate Action NZ, the Environmental Law Initiative and Z Energy have reached a settlement in proceedings filed against Z Energy for alleged breaches of the Fair Trading Act relating Z Energy’s 2022 “Moving With The Times” campaign.

Ngāti Pārau gifts Z service station new name

Z Energy (Z) has been gifted a new name for one of its retail sites in Ahuriri Napier. 
Previously 'Z Kennedy Road', the site has been renamed ‘Z Mataruahou’ following 
collaboration between Z and the local hapū and mana whenua, Ngāti Pārau.
